In 2009 Ikdahl started working as a clinical research assistant at the the Department of Rheumatology at Diakonhjemmet Hospital, and since 2011 he has worked with the research group of the Preventive Cardio-Rheuma Clinic of this hospital.
After greduating with a medical degree (cand.med.) from the University of Oslo in January 2014, Ikdahl started working as a PhD candidate in the Preventive Cardio-Rheuma Clinic. Ikdahl has been involved in building the Norwegian contribution to the ATACC-RA and is currently managing the NOrwegian Collaboration on Atherosclerosis in patients with Rheumatic joint diseases (NOCAR) project.
