Observational RA cohorts with an overlapping minimum baseline dataset and systematic prospective identification and collection of cardiovascular events were identified and merged into a single dataset. This was used to develop an RA-specific risk calculator, however several challenges emerged. These are described in some of the papers emerging from the ATACC-RA collaboration and Professor Cynthia Crowson’s PhD thesis (supervised by Dr. Anne-Grete Semb), that was based on this cohort.
